Sports Tours Overseas Website & Client Portal

Fish Media has created a new website for Derby based specialist travel company, Sports Tours Overseas. Having previously built, then subsequently sold, a successful sports team travel company 10 years ago, the brief was to produce an online platform for the business to re-launch into an industry they know so well.

A key aspect of the website brief was to showcase STO’s wide range of sports tour options while providing a simple customer journey to ensure users can quickly and easily find a tour that’s right for them. This objective was achieved by creating top level navigation and hotspots which are categorised by sport and then display the country in which those tours are available. The details of each location and tour are cleverly displayed on an interactive embedded mapping tool, with prompts provided throughout the journey to help guide users through each step of the process.

As with all websites in today’s mobile dominant world, an important objective was for the website to be mobile friendly to enable all users to quickly and easily use the website while on the go. Our website solution includes a responsive interface which dynamically adapts according to the user’s device, thus providing the optimum display on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

Another key requirement for the new website was to have an area where STO and their clients can share documents and information relating to their tour. For this, we produced a secure client account section which enables STO to set-up individual Itinerary accounts for their clients. From here, they can share the booking form and other tour related documents with their clients – along with any general notes and information. Clients are able to login and access these documents and upload the completed booking form which helps streamline the booking and admin logistics for STO. Automated email notifications are employed within the system to notify both STO and their clients when a new document has been added to their Itinerary.

The website and client account section has been built on our custom Content Management System which enables STO to manage all areas of the website and administer the client accounts.
