Wheeldon has been designing and building homes since 1867 and they have built over 2,000 new homes in and around Derbyshire. As well as providing Wheeldon with bespoke Customer Relationship Management software, we have also continued to maintain and develop their bespoke website since 2009.
Fish Media are delighted to announce the next phase of the website’s development with a substantial code base update and graphical design refresh working with our in-house COBALT partner, Hill Langdell.
Working with the Google Maps API we start by displaying each live housing development on a location map. All locations are controlled by the client in the back end when new developments are created. Each development particular automatically trickles down to different parts of the site – allowing the client to set details such as address and phone numbers only once in one central location.
Once the website visitor selects a development they are presented with the option to view a full PDF sitemap or click through each house type on offer at that site.
Each house type is controlled in the admin by the client allowing them to upload specifications such as a computer-generated illustration of the new house and each of the floor plans.
Virtual Tours are made available for certain house types which will take the visitor through an impressive 360-degree walkthrough of the showhome.
The client selects which plots on the development are available (or reserved) and a price range is added along with further details and photos uploaded to showcase internal home photos and geographical location photography.
With a database of nearly 100 different house types and specifications, our bespoke Content Management System features easy-to-use management tools including record duplication, searching and an asset upload filing system. The website also references over 50 historic developments, demonstrating the many years of experience that Wheeldon has in creating inspirational new homes.
